Meet Tatianna
tatianna salisbury is a writer, baker, and self-proclaimed force of nature from rockford, illinois.
tatianna studied communications and journalism at northern illinois university. she graduated in 2018 with a bachelor of arts degree in communication. throughout her years at niu, tatianna unearthed a passion for creative and unapologetic storytelling. rriting as prolifically as she could, tatianna held many positions at the university newspaper, including editor-in-chief, and wrote perspective pieces for various online publications and magazines across the US.
Her Story Continues
in june of 2023, tatianna published the first edition of "words my heart needed to hear," a collection of poetry and short stories about her experiences with betrayal, longing, loss, and love.
in february of 2025, tatianna released the second edition of "words my heart needed to hear," a revised version that featured ink and watercolor illustrations, expanded poems, and a peek into her second book, "everything I haven’t said."
when she’s not writing—which is rare—tatianna can be found hiking mountains with her beloved blue heeler, Balto, wandering through independent bookstores, or finding yet another reason to make an elaborate charcuterie board.
